This Week's Robots: Pt. 2

I like the landscape design in Xevious too. I guess it does look like a well organized golf course, a mannered garden of sorts.

Gyruss surprised me one day well after the arcade days. I think I had forgotten about it, or didn't see it in the arcades I went to. I think it's fantastic. I thought Time Pilot would make a great movie. Much better than Battleship, anyway.

I have to play more Gain Ground. I never get very far, although, this time I got several screens into it.

Crunchy Roll. I only want to see the original again. I followed it pretty closely as a kid and really loved it.

Thanks! I HAVE THE POWER!!!

Yeah, I love doing that, however, it is a bit distracting to have to switch back and forth especially when you are being bombarded with flying enemies. I have trouble even beating the first boss in Xevious.

Very cool. I remember playing Crimson Shroud. Maybe I'll get the expansion now on Switch.

Oh yeah! Round 1 is it, although I have another one near me too, but I think it might not have that game.

I agree. I think it's getting too complex for its own good.

I was just a bit too old in the 80s for cartoons. I was watching David Letterman, MTV and shows like Hill Street Blues, Taxi and Cheers. My best friend at the time mentioned Danger Mouse in one of our home made radio shows, so maybe he watched that. It's fun to see these today. My friend now is into anime and such, and so watching old cartoons and cheesy scifi/fantasty TV like Wizards and Warriors (which I just got) is perfect during game breaks.

Yeah, I watched the trailer for He-Man again and agree with you. It's like most of the animated cartoons of the time, barely passable. Might Orbots though, is wonderful, as is Star Blazers which I watched as a kid and will again once the DVDs aren't so expensive.

I'll have to check out She-Ra next week. That's a funny, and touching, story.

I think I saw one episode of the new He-Man and didn't enjoy it, and neither did my friend. Only He-Man should have the sword. That's just not right.

I got past that this time but failed in the Scramble-like sequence.

Jurassic World Evo is a cool series. I found the first one good but sometimes complicated. I'd love to try 2 sometime. It's on Game Pass now too, so I have no excuse.

FarSight Studios, who made the PHF Williams Collection, did The Pinball Arcade which is on Xbox and everything else. It's even better because it has so many tables. They lost the Williams and Bally licenses though so you can only buy the Gottlieb and Stern stuff now. It's still worth it. I was surprised at how few Gottlieb games were on the PHF: Gottlieb Collection. Plenty more on Pinball Arcade though, and still buyable. I bought all three table packs the other day.

I played the first Lost Planet long time ago. Then tried 2, but it seemed made for co-op and my friend wasn't into it. 3 seems excellent and very playable solo. I likely bought it on a sale or maybe it was a Xbox Games with Gold freebie one month.
